flux

As a research endeavour, I’ve created GitHub hosted Python code called ‘flux’, which maps incident radiative flux upon the top-of-atmospheres for planets and exoplanets.

As a STEM Outreach endeavour I’ve created a popular channel (over 10000 followers) called Instagram.com/educatingspace

In 2019 and 2020 I delivered lectures and tutorials to first-year University of Southern Queensland, Springfield Campus undergraduate students in Environmental Studies.

Whilst my day job is teaching High School Science and Maths I’m a Mars Society Australia director very passionate about Mars and exploring our own planet Earth. I’m also an avid fan of having wheels under my feet!

Kind regards,

James O’Connor, BSc (Geophysics, GIS), BTeach (Science), MSc Research candidate
